Head of Girls' Games in the Preparatory School

Required: September 2018

Closing Date: Monday 26th February

Interviews: Monday 5th March

Brentwood School is an academically selective IAPS school with small class sizes and a happy and supportive staff team. It is part of Brentwood School, a 3-18 HMC school of over 1500 pupils that’s just 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street. We are looking for a committed, outstanding PE and Games practitioner to oversee the future development of Girls’ Games and Physical Education.

We are fortunate to have outstanding facilities including netball and tennis courts, a full size all-weather hockey facility, athletics track and two indoor swimming pools all set within an impressive 72 acre site close to Brentwood town centre. Applications from both experienced teachers and those recently qualified would be welcomed as would applications from current professional athletes. There may be the opportunity to teach a subsidiary subject to other classes but the main focus will be to develop the sports provision for our girls.  All candidates will be expected to be fully committed to our sports and Co-Curricular programme.

The School has its own generous salary scale significantly above the maintained sector. The school reserves the right to change the vacancy dates, and to close the vacancy at any time, so early application is advised.
