The School has over 150 non-teaching staff in a variety of positions that help to keep the School running. They are a key part of the School and integrate with teaching staff at all levels, both professionally and socially.

Assistant School Staff Instructor (CCF)

Brentwood School is a leading HMC co-educational independent school based in Essex and close to London.  We are seeking an assistant School Staff Instructor (SSI) to assist in the running and management of one of the largest CCF in the country working alongside the SSI.  The CCF has over 500 cadets and 20 Officers in all three services.  The aSSI is a key CCF staff member whose principal role is to work alongside the senior SSI, providing J4 and limited clerical support to the Contingent.  Additionally they will be assisting in the organisation and delivery of military and adventurous training to the CCF. Both SSIs are responsible for planning and delivery of training to both officers and cadets.  This appointment is shared with Shenfield High School CCF.  The aSSI will be released for 30 days a year for duties with this Contingent of 60 cadets a 4 officers and the successful candidate will fulfil the role of SSI at Shenfield CCF with the support of Brentwood School CCF.

The successful applicant will be able to facilitate, organise and deliver military and adventurous training to all members of the CCF at Brentwood.  The successful candidate will have experience as a serving or recently retired NCO in either the regular or reserve forces of any service, or is a current SSI in another Contingent.  They will have a variety of relevant and current military and adventurous training qualifications.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills, be motivated to inspire young people and have a positive attitude and interest in getting involved in the wider life of the school.

The post is fulltime and has an attractive salary package including the MOD SSI allowance and a generous holiday allowance.
