What our Boarders Say

I have lived in Hough House since the Fourth Year and in that time I have made so many friends and my English has improved so much. Although I am a long way from my family, I feel that this my second home. It really is a place where I can focus on my studies and at the same time relax and it is a place where I feel safe and really happy.

Andy Zhang, Hough House (Hong Kong)

Boarding Houses are well-kept, well-maintained and comfortable. There is a real family feel.

When I leave, I will never forget my time in the boarding house with all the amazing girls and staff.

Ekaterina Kondrateva, Mill Hill (Russia)

I’ve been a boarder at Hough House since the First Year and I’m now in the Lower Sixth. I have two passions in life: football and art, and living in Hough has allowed me to use the gym, sports facilities and Art Block during the evenings and weekends. Almost every weekend at Hough we have a friendly football match and then come back for take-away food! I will miss this place when I leave and have made some great friends. The House motto is ‘Vita per Amicitiam’ which means ‘Life through Friendship’ and that is so true.

Jack Brown, Hough House (Indonesia)

The School and the boarding house provide us with opportunities for personal growth and skill development - and this is why I see my experience at Mill Hill as a journey to becoming who I am today.

Kristina Tovstik, Mill Hill (Moscow)

You just get so much freedom. You can make use of School facilities even at weekends, which is great for studying and practicing. I certainly appreciate that!
